Toni is a rare teacher: she's knowledgeable, curious, and warm all at once. The entire workshop felt like a graduate seminar rather than a lecture. Toni shared the science behind stress and told us some of the ways it has functioned in her life, but she was also genuinely interested in how the participants' experienced stress, and she tailored the live workshop to help us hone the techniques that worked best for our individual situations. 

 

The workshop covered practical exercises to help turn stress into useful energy in my daily life. As I did the exercises during the workshop, I felt lighter and stronger. And that feeling has lasted. I'm using the workshop workbook to revisit some of the concepts. I plan to add a new stress management technique into my routine each week for a month. My favorite exercise was the grounding (feel my feet) exercise and my favorite insights were that the mind is a translator, and that stress is energy and can be used positively. If I suggested any changes it would be that most of the workshop was auditory and physical learning, so visual learners might have struggled to follow along as well.
