From the inception of a new product, to formulation, to ingredient sourcing, to packaging, to environmental impact, we evaluate every step along the way and avoid many of the causes of impact by keeping our practices simple and intentional.

Circular Economy
Although a positive step, the manufacture of biodegradable or reduced size refill packaging creates massive carbon emissions. Instead of utilizing refill packaging, our Refill. Return. Reward. program allows us to up-cycle our glass packaging and pumps numerous times, preventing the high carbon output of frequent manufacture, shipping & recycling. We’ve created a circular economy by accepting return of bottles & jars from past orders, power sanitizing them and reusing them indefinitely, offering our refills with biodegradable caps and asking our customers to reuse their pumps.
To date, our program has prevented over 3000 plastic pumps from going to landfills and countless bottles and jars from returning to the stream of recycling and re-manufacture.

Ethical Sourcing
Many of our botanicals are native, wild-harvested locally by us. And we partner with regenerative farms, local growers and fair-trade suppliers who share our non-negotiable values and high standards.
Environmentally Conscious Packaging
All of our packaging, from product containers to shipping materials to order inserts, are recyclable or biodegradable--made from glass, aluminum, and post-consumer recycled materials. To avoid overuse or abuse of resources, we design our modern, minimalist aesthetic with only what is necessary to maintain superior products & service.
Low-impact Practices
Our studio-lab, including all in-house practices, is powered by wind turbine renewable energy. We keep our carbon emissions low by doing over 70% of our manufacturing, bottling and shipping processes by hand. And we're always striving to improve our current practices, while seeking new ways of conscious well-being without cutting corners.
